I believe the most important part of medical treatment is helping you be in charge of your own health. This includes using medications, vitamins, herbs, supplements, exercise, relaxation, acupuncture and osteopathic treatment to set up a program best suited for you

I graduated from Princeton University, and received my medical degree at Rush University in Chicago. I completed my residency training in family practice at the University of Connecticut and acupuncture training at UCLA. I worked at Kaplan Clinic for over 16 years using a multidisciplinary approach which included physical therapists and psychotherapists. Later at Steinmetz Medical Associates, I continued to hone the art of integrative medicine, focusing my area of practice with regards to endocrine issues such as hypothyroidism, adrenal fatigue, and menopause.

I was honored to be asked to be the medical editor for “Living Well with Hypothyroidism” by Mary Shomon.
